A coastal gallery of contemporary sculpture
Dozens of artists have transformed a 1.25-mile stretch of Sydney's Bondi coastline into an open-air gallery for the 2026 Sculpture by the Sea exhibition. The annual event features work by artists from Australia and around the world, spanning abstract forms and figurative creations.
Among this year's works are Emma Anna's "DREAM_N," which takes the form of an oversized letter rack, and Andre Braun's "Surface Breach," depicting a hand emerging from the ground. Other sculptures explore ideas through natural forms, geometric structures and unexpected materials.
The free exhibition remains open to the public through November 2. By bringing contemporary art into a shared outdoor setting, Sculpture by the Sea can broaden access to creative work and inspire new connections between artists, audiences and place.
