Startup Battlefield Australia applications near close as Sydney event returns

TechCrunch's Startup Battlefield Australia is returning to Sydney, and applications are closing soon on July 6. The event has a track record of turning early-stage ideas into global businesses.

At the previous Sydney edition, HealthMatch won the competition and later grew into a company that raised more than $25 million, expanded into the United States, and reached over 1 million patients worldwide. Runner-up FluroSat also gained momentum from the stage before becoming part of Regrow Agriculture, which has since raised more than $60 million.

What selected startups can expect

This year, eight startups will be chosen to pitch live at Stripe Tour Sydney in front of investors, media, and Australia's tech community. The top three will receive up to $15,000 in Stripe fee credits, while the overall winner earns direct entry into Startup Battlefield 200 at TechCrunch Disrupt in San Francisco this October.

For founders building ambitious products in Australia and beyond, the program offers a rare chance to gain visibility on a global stage. As the deadline approaches, the opportunity is open to teams ready to present their next big idea.

Events like this continue to strengthen the bridge between local innovation and international growth, shaping the next wave of startup success.
