Vishal Sikka's new AI startup aims to reshape enterprise software services

Vishal Sikka, the former chief executive of Infosys, has launched a new venture that places artificial intelligence at the center of enterprise software work. His startup, Hang Ten Systems, has secured a $32 million seed round led by Mayfield, with strategic backing from Aramco Ventures and support from angel investors.

The Bay Area-based company says it helps organizations continuously build, adapt, and run software through AI-driven development and automation. Its model is designed to reduce the gap between software creation and software operations, using reusable AI skills and agentic code generation to support enterprise teams.

Hang Ten enters a fast-evolving market where major IT services players are also moving toward AI-enabled delivery. The startup is already working with customers such as Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy and Fresenius, while building teams across delivery, engineering, sales, and leadership.

The founding group includes experienced operators who have worked with Sikka across SAP, Infosys, and his earlier AI company, VianAI. Among them are Navin Budhiraja, Sanjay Rajagopalan, and Tao Liu, reflecting a team built around enterprise software, design, and forward-deployed engineering.

Mayfield says the company stands out because its model is meant to scale with each project rather than expand only through headcount. That approach places Hang Ten at the center of a broader shift in how businesses may design, maintain, and deliver software in the AI era. The next phase of enterprise technology could be shaped by systems that combine human expertise with increasingly autonomous software creation.
