Gigs: Your Personalized Live Music Archive Awaits

Concert-goers often capture unforgettable moments on their phones, yet many never revisit those recordings. Enter Gigs, a groundbreaking concert-tracking application launching this week, designed to transform your concert experiences into a personal archive utilizing Apple's on-device AI.

Users can effortlessly add concerts to Gigs by importing tickets, emails, screenshots, or website links. The app leverages Apple's Foundation Models to extract essential details such as dates, venues, and lineups, creating a comprehensive listing for each event.

For those who already maintain concert histories on platforms like Setlist.fm or Concert Archives, Gigs offers a seamless integration option, allowing users to automatically import their past concert and festival attendance by linking their existing accounts.

Once concerts are logged, users can sync these dates to their personal calendars, receive ticket sale alerts, browse anticipated set lists, and access additional information about the artists or shows. After attending a concert, the app prompts users to rate the performance and upload photos, videos, or artwork from the event.

Developed by indie creator Hidde van der Ploeg, who previously worked on music-related apps such as Petey and NowPlaying, Gigs aims to assist live music enthusiasts in recalling their event history with ease.

By organizing concert experiences, users can revisit cherished performances and gain insights into their musical journey. The app features a statistics dashboard that tracks categories like favorite artists, venues, cities, and average ratings, along with milestones to celebrate significant achievements, such as attending their first ten shows.

Designed for iOS 26, Gigs boasts a sleek Liquid Glass aesthetic and includes Home Screen widgets for countdowns to upcoming events. With Siri integration, users can check on future shows, access tickets, or rate events using voice commands. The app also ensures all shows are indexed by Apple's Spotlight for easy system-wide search, complete with customizable icons.

Gigs is available for free download, with an optional $2.99/month in-app purchase unlocking additional features such as data export, achievements, unlimited storage for photos and videos, and support for importing concert histories from other services or CSV files. A $19.99/year subscription is also on offer, and users can bundle Gigs with NowPlaying for further savings.

This innovative app not only preserves concert memories but also fosters a deeper connection to live music experiences, paving the way for a vibrant future in music appreciation.
