Apple is giving early testers a closer look at the next stage of Siri's evolution with iOS 27 beta 3. The latest build adds controls for Pace and Expressivity, allowing users to shape how quickly and how vividly the assistant speaks.
The update reflects Apple's broader push to make Siri feel more natural, adaptive, and personal as it rebuilds the assistant around generative AI. Instead of a one-style-fits-all voice, users can now move through different voice options, accents, and speech settings to create a more tailored experience.
Apple first previewed these voice tools at WWDC 26, and the new beta brings them closer to real-world use. During setup, Siri can even read sample phrases so testers can hear how each adjustment changes the tone and delivery in practice.
The redesigned Siri is also becoming more deeply integrated into iOS, with support for voice commands, typing, the side button, swiping down from the Dynamic Island, and a dedicated Siri app. Alongside these changes, beta 3 includes smaller refinements such as an updated Reminders icon.
As voice assistants become more customizable and responsive, this kind of personalization may help define the next generation of everyday AI experiences.
