TikTok is bringing restaurant recommendations into one dedicated feature. Called Must Eat, the community-driven guide gathers places highlighted across the platform, helping users explore dining options by city.
Drawing on more than 40 million posts and comments, the guide lets users filter restaurants by cuisine, price, rating and location. Recommendations are organized into "Everyday Eats" for casual favorites and neighborhood spots, and "Elevated Dining" for special occasions. Reservations at some participating restaurants can also be made through OpenTable.
The feature is launching first in New York City, Los Angeles and San Francisco. Users can access it through TikTok search, the Local feed, restaurant pages and location links on videos featuring participating venues.
By turning community recommendations into a practical discovery tool, TikTok could make social food trends an increasingly useful part of how people choose where to dine.
