Google Play now supports Venmo for apps, games, subscriptions, and creator tips, expanding digital payment flexibility as global spending on mobile content keeps rising.

Google Play Expands Payment Options with Venmo

Google Play is broadening its checkout options by adding Venmo as a payment method for digital purchases, including games, apps, add-ons, and other content.

The new option also supports subscriptions and creator tips inside content-based apps, using either a Venmo wallet balance or linked payment sources such as bank accounts and cards.

To activate it, users can open their account settings and add Venmo under payment methods. In the United States, Google Play already supports services such as PayPal and Cash App, along with major card networks.

The move reflects the growing scale of digital spending worldwide. As app ecosystems continue to expand, more flexible payment tools are becoming a key part of the user experience. This shift may help shape a more seamless future for mobile commerce.
