Bluesky expands Attie with Quests, a new AI feature that helps users research trends, influential accounts, and conversations across the open social web.

Bluesky's Attie Evolves Into an Open Research Tool for the Social Web

Bluesky is expanding its AI assistant Attie beyond custom feed creation and turning it into a broader research tool for the open social web. The new feature, called Quests, lets users ask open-ended questions and explore information flowing across Bluesky and other apps built on the AT Protocol.

With Quests, users can track trending topics, identify influential accounts in a specific field, or gather context around conversations happening across the network. The goal is to make it easier to navigate the fast-moving Atmosphere, Bluesky's name for its wider connected ecosystem.

The update arrives as Bluesky continues to refine its product strategy. The platform now reports about 45.6 million registered accounts, while Attie remains in beta and is being rolled out gradually from a waitlist. Bluesky says the assistant is designed to lower the barrier to understanding and customizing the AT Protocol, while also making the experience more accessible.

Alongside the new research features, Attie is also being redesigned with accessibility improvements and a refreshed logo. Bluesky has signaled that more changes are planned in the months ahead, including possible paid features and tools for advanced users.

As AI becomes more deeply woven into social platforms, Attie points to a future where users can shape their own information environments with greater precision and clarity.
