Apple and Broadcom Expand U.S. Chip Partnership

Apple has entered a multiyear agreement with Broadcom worth more than $30 billion to develop and manufacture over 15 billion custom wireless connectivity chips for its devices in the United States.

As part of the plan, Apple will invest $1.5 billion to help expand Broadcom's production site in Fort Collins, Colorado. The move strengthens an already established supplier relationship, with Broadcom serving as a key provider of wireless hardware for the iPhone maker.

The partnership also fits into Apple's broader pledge to invest $600 billion in the U.S. economy over the next four years. The company says the initiative will support hundreds of American jobs while deepening domestic semiconductor capacity.

By scaling U.S.-based chip production, Apple is reinforcing a supply chain strategy that blends innovation, manufacturing, and long-term industrial investment. This kind of partnership may help shape a more resilient and advanced tech ecosystem in the years ahead.
