Amazon has introduced the Kindle Click, a Bluetooth remote designed to turn pages on compatible Kindle e-readers. The accessory adds hands-free control for readers who want to keep their device propped up while exercising or relax under a blanket without reaching for the screen.
The remote works with Kindle models released in 2024 or later. A software update enables compatible devices to pair with it through their Bluetooth settings. Once connected, it can turn pages and adjust the e-reader's front-light brightness. Readers can choose which of its two main buttons moves forward or backward through a book.
Designed for convenient reading
Kindle Click is priced at $34.99. Its page-turn controls can be useful when a Kindle is mounted on exercise equipment or resting on a nearby surface. The brightness buttons also let readers make quick lighting adjustments without handling the e-reader.
The remote is focused on reading controls: it does not navigate the Kindle's menus or open another book, so readers need to select their title on the device first. Its arrival also gives Kindle owners a dedicated Bluetooth option, rather than relying solely on accessories that physically interact with the screen.
By making wireless controls part of the Kindle experience, Amazon could open the door to more flexible ways of reading across everyday settings.
