A compact alarm setup with no monthly fee
Eufy's Essential 7-Piece Alarm System is listed at $269.98, down from $399.99--a saving of $130.01. The package includes a HomeBase Mini hub with 64GB of built-in storage, a keypad, four entry sensors and one motion sensor.
The sensors can monitor doors, windows and indoor areas, sending alerts through the Eufy app when activity is detected. A keypad also lets household members arm or disarm the system without using the app. Battery-powered sensors and guided setup are designed to make installation straightforward, while local storage and the lack of a required subscription mean there are no ongoing service fees for core alarm functions.
The included sensors may suit a smaller home or apartment; additional Eufy sensors can be added for broader coverage. Cameras are not part of the kit, so checking what triggered an alert requires a separately purchased compatible camera. As connected home systems become easier to install and operate, products like this may help make everyday home monitoring more accessible.
