Serve Robotics Opens Its AI Tools to Other Robot Makers

Serve Robotics is opening its connectivity, data-curation and real-world robotics data tools to other developers, aiming to support AI systems across diverse robot fleets.

Serve Robotics Opens Its AI Tools to Other Robot Makers

Serve Robotics, known for its autonomous sidewalk delivery robots, is expanding into services for companies building robots. Its new Physical AI Services business will offer connectivity and data tools developed through its own fleet, while its delivery and hospital robotics operations continue.

Three tools for robotics teams

The offering includes Serve Link, which connects robots in the field with AI systems in data centers. This could give machines access to more powerful models without requiring all computing hardware to be carried onboard. A data-curation tool will help companies identify unusual situations in real-world robot data and use them to improve training. The third product is a catalog of data gathered by Serve's sidewalk robots, designed to help AI models interpret complex human environments.

Serve says construction robotics company Bedrock Robotics is a customer. It is also working with T-Mobile to bring AI computing closer to robots. The company sees potential applications in settings such as farms and warehouses, where machines must operate outside controlled environments.

By making technology developed for its own robots available to other teams, Serve is positioning itself as a platform provider for physical AI. Wider access to connectivity and real-world data could help advance robots built to operate in increasingly varied human environments.
