India's voice AI market is gaining momentum, and Ringg is positioning itself at the center of that shift. The startup, which already handles around 20 million call attempts each month, has raised an additional $10 million from Peak XV Partners as an extension of its Series A round, bringing the total to $15.5 million.
Originally launched as a text-to-speech company under the name DesiVocal, Ringg later moved toward enterprise voice agents after realizing that building speech models from scratch was too costly. That pivot helped the company win early customers such as Cred, and later expand to brands including Flipkart, Practo, Groww, and PolicyBazaar.
Today, Ringg is focusing on more advanced workflows that go beyond simple outbound calls. Its systems are being used for healthcare appointment booking, e-commerce cart recovery, and fintech onboarding and KYC checks. The company says its voice agent now supports operations across 1,200 clinics for Practo, helping patients schedule visits and manage follow-up steps.
While voice still accounts for more than 70% of its business, Ringg is also extending into chat, WhatsApp, and browser-based support. The company describes its goal as building an agent platform that delivers outcomes, not just conversations.
Peak XV says Ringg's technical depth gives it an edge in complex enterprise workflows, especially where consistency and task completion matter. With a growing team and a broader product roadmap, Ringg is now working to combine speech, orchestration, and deployment into a more complete automation layer. The next phase of this market could shape how businesses across India and beyond deliver support, service, and customer engagement.
