Revolut Reaches $115 Billion Valuation Ahead of U.S. Bank Launch

Revolut's valuation has climbed to $115 billion after a secondary share sale, as the fintech expands its business banking services and prepares for a planned U.S. bank launch in 2027.

Revolut Reaches $115 Billion Valuation Ahead of U.S. Bank Launch

Revolut has been valued at $115 billion in a secondary share sale, marking a 53% rise from its valuation in a similar transaction a year earlier. The sale allowed existing investors to trade shares but did not bring new funding into the company.

Founded in 2015, the London-based fintech has expanded from a money-transfer app into a financial services platform serving more than 80 million retail customers in over 40 countries. It plans to launch a U.S. bank in the first half of 2027, subject to final regulatory approval following conditional approval from the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency.

Business banking fuels expansion

Revolut's business banking unit, launched in 2017, now contributes around 20% of the company's gross profit. The division serves more than 800,000 businesses and processes over £36 billion in transactions each month. Revolut aims to reach one million business customers by 2027 and is considering expanding business services into Mexico, Brazil and India.

The company reported $6 billion in revenue for 2025, with a 38% profit margin. It is also weighing a future public listing, though any initial public offering is not expected before 2028 and would depend on market conditions.

Revolut's growing scale and planned U.S. entry illustrate how digital-first financial platforms may continue reshaping access to banking across markets.
