Piaget's latest limited-edition watch draws on Andy Warhol's 1986 Camouflage self-portraits, translating their vivid palette into a design for the wrist. The collection is limited to 86 pieces, a number that echoes the year of the artworks.
The dial combines sodalite and turquoise with satin-finished gold and polished rose gold. Its 27 components took more than 100 hours of development and craftsmanship to bring together. Inside the gadrooned white-gold case, Piaget's automatic 501 P1 movement powers the watch and provides a 40-hour power reserve. Warhol's signature and the individual edition number are engraved on the case back.
A continuing creative partnership
Piaget says its approach is to take inspiration from Warhol's work without reproducing an artwork directly on the dial. Color and ornamental stones connect the artist's visual language with the watchmaker's design heritage.
The collaboration with the Andy Warhol Foundation for the Visual Arts also includes earlier releases: the Black Tie watch was renamed in Warhol's honor in 2024, followed by the colorful Collage edition in 2025. The Camouflage model continues that annual creative thread.
By bringing contemporary craft and modern art into a wearable object, the collaboration points to new ways for cultural legacy to shape future design.
