Meta's Style Sketch Uses AI to Build Outfits From Your Wardrobe

Meta's Style Sketch uses AI to turn clothes users already own into outfit ideas, virtual try-ons and travel packing plans, and is currently available in three Southeast Asian markets.

Meta's Style Sketch Uses AI to Build Outfits From Your Wardrobe

Meta has introduced Style Sketch, an AI-powered fashion app designed to turn clothes users already own into new outfit ideas. It can create a digital wardrobe using photos shared on Instagram, or items added by taking or uploading pictures and videos.

The app suggests combinations based on a user's style and lets them preview looks on a virtual model designed to reflect their body shape and skin tone. Users can also select a particular garment and ask for outfit ideas built around it.

Outfit planning for everyday life and travel

Style Sketch can help plan what to wear for a trip. Users enter their destination, travel dates and planned activities, and the app generates a day-by-day wardrobe plan that takes the itinerary and weather forecast into account.

The app is currently available for iOS and Android in Indonesia, Singapore and Thailand. Meta has not announced whether it will expand to other markets.

By connecting AI styling tools with a personal digital wardrobe, Style Sketch points toward more individualized and practical ways to plan what to wear.
