London private members' club Maison Estelle has temporarily paused operations while the Metropolitan Police and Westminster City Council review a public-safety matter outside its Mayfair premises.
The closure has prompted the cancellation of planned dinners, parties and cultural programming scheduled around Frieze Week. Lisson Gallery, which had arranged an event at the venue, is exploring an alternative location for its gathering.
A Pause for Venue Review
In a message to members, Maison Estelle said it is working with local authorities as it reviews its licensing conditions and operational arrangements. Dining reservations and scheduled cultural events will not proceed during the temporary closure.
Opened on Grafton Street in 2021, Maison Estelle has become a distinctive meeting point within Mayfair's creative landscape, situated near major galleries and luxury retail destinations. The club is known for hosting closely curated private events for members and guests.
