AI agents are moving beyond text prompts and into everyday coordination. Instinct and Meta's Muse have both introduced phone-calling capabilities designed to help users complete tasks that still require a human conversation.
Instinct introduces Concierge
San Francisco-based Instinct has begun early access to Instinct Concierge, a calling service for higher-touch requests. The feature can contact restaurants without online booking systems, ask to join a dentist's cancellation list, or help resolve customer-service matters such as billing questions.
Instinct plans to extend Concierge access over time. The update follows the company's recent additions that allow agents to use dedicated email addresses for account-related tasks and coordinate selected requests through trusted assistant networks.
Muse expands calls to US businesses
Meta's Muse has also started expanding its outbound calling capability for US businesses. Initial availability is focused on people who have asked Muse for the option, enabling the platform to prioritize users interested in testing the experience.
The parallel launches highlight a growing direction for AI agents: combining digital research, messaging, scheduling and live phone interactions in one workflow. Rather than simply offering answers, these systems aim to manage multi-step tasks that can otherwise demand time, attention and repeated follow-up.
As calling features mature, AI agents could become more practical personal coordinators, helping people navigate services that remain outside fully automated online systems.
