Instagram is introducing a practical new profile option that lets users place posts they are tagged in directly on their main grid. The feature gives people more flexibility in shaping how their profile appears, while keeping the original post unchanged.
Users can add a tagged post from the DM alert they receive, from the post itself, or through the Tagged tab. If they later want to adjust their profile, the post can be removed from the grid without disappearing from the tagged section.
This update may be especially useful for creators and brand collaborations, offering another way to highlight shared content without reposting it. It also supports multi-creator campaigns by making tagged content easier to feature on individual profiles.
The new option follows Instagram's recent efforts to give users more control over profile presentation, including the ability to reorder the main grid. Alongside that, the platform has been adding tools such as First Draft for faster video editing and Replace Audio for updating music on older posts.
As Instagram continues refining profile and content tools, the platform is moving toward a more flexible and personalized creator experience that could shape how digital identity is presented in the future.
