Granola, an AI app known for meeting notes, has added voice dictation for Mac. Users can press the Fn key and speak; the feature turns their words into cleaned-up, formatted text they can use in any app.
The company says dictation is free with unlimited words. It can be used to write notes, prompts, emails and messages. Versions for iOS and Windows are planned.
The launch reflects a broader shift among voice AI apps: services including Granola and Wispr are bringing meeting transcription and dictation together rather than focusing on a single task.
As voice tools expand across devices and everyday apps, speaking may become an increasingly seamless way to create and use digital text.
