AI note-taking platform Granola is expanding to the Apple Watch, giving users a faster way to start transcription and capture meetings without reaching for their phones.
The new app can be placed on a watch face for quick access, making it easier to begin recording during in-person conversations, walking meetings, or fast-moving work sessions. It also surfaces reminders for upcoming meetings and connects with Granola's iOS app, which arrived last year.
According to co-founder Chris Pedregal, the goal is to make note-taking feel more natural in everyday professional settings. During internal testing, the company found that some users shifted a meaningful share of their mobile activity from iPhone to Watch, showing strong potential for wrist-based productivity tools.
Granola joins a growing wave of AI-assisted note-taking experiences, but it chose a watch app over dedicated hardware to keep the rollout simple and accessible. The move also reflects a broader trend: smaller, smarter devices are becoming central to how people organize work and information.
With its latest expansion, Granola is positioning the Apple Watch as a practical interface for real-time productivity. The development points toward a future where AI tools blend more seamlessly into daily routines.
