Google is expanding Gemini inside Google Docs with three new visual features designed to make document creation more dynamic. The update lets users generate infographics and diagrams directly from the content of a document, refine existing visuals with simple prompts, and edit multiple images at once.
What's new in Docs
With the new tools, users can ask Gemini to build a diagram that explains a proposal, create a visual summary of a report, or turn sections of text into an infographic. Google says the system uses the context of the document to shape the output, helping visuals stay closely aligned with the written material.
Gemini can also adjust images already placed in a document. That includes changing aspect ratios, matching a visual style across pages, or updating several graphics in one step. The goal is to make Docs more flexible for presentations, planning documents, and content-heavy workflows.
Who can use it
The rollout is limited to Workspace users. Access is available for Business Standard and Plus, Enterprise Standard and Plus, Education Plus, as well as Google AI Pro and Ultra subscribers. Google AI Pro for Education and Teaching and Learning add-ons are also included.
By bringing image generation and editing closer to the writing process, Google is pushing Docs toward a more integrated creative workspace. In the future, this kind of built-in visual support could reshape how teams draft, explain, and present ideas.
