Stockholm-based startup Fika Jobs has raised $4 million in pre-seed funding to advance a hiring platform built around short video profiles and AI-led interviews. The company aims to make candidate discovery more dynamic, visual, and human-centered.
Instead of relying mainly on resumes, the platform lets job seekers connect a LinkedIn profile, after which AI generates tailored interview questions. Candidates then complete a roughly 10-minute video interview with an AI agent powered by Google Gemini.
Fika converts the answers into short clips and assembles them into a living profile that employers can browse over time. The model is designed to highlight communication style, personality, and potential alongside traditional qualifications.
The idea was shaped by co-founders and brothers Jakob Dubois and Alexander Dubois, who said their own recruiting experience showed how much talent can be missed on paper alone. The company believes this format may be especially useful for early-career candidates and people from non-traditional backgrounds.
The startup plans early access for candidates this week, with a broader launch expected later this year. It will begin in Sweden before expanding internationally. More than 100 companies are already on the waitlist, and over 50 have tested the product, including Plenty Labs, SICS.ai, Kognity, and Rebtel.
Fika Jobs is free for job seekers. Employers pay only when a hire is made, with the company taking 10% of the candidate's first-year salary. Backers include Luminar Ventures, Alliance VC, and King co-founders Sebastian Knutsson and Riccardo Zacconi. If the platform gains traction, it could help shape a more expressive and efficient future for digital hiring.
