Voice AI company ElevenLabs has completed a $300 million employee share sale, placing its valuation at $22 billion. The figure doubles the company's $11 billion valuation recorded earlier this year.
The transaction allows eligible employees to sell part of their vested equity to investors, creating a pathway for team members to realize value without waiting for a public listing. The offer was co-led by Wellington and T. Rowe Price.
Employee ownership becomes a strategic focus
Fast-growing AI companies are increasingly using secondary share transactions to support employee retention and long-term participation. For ElevenLabs, this is the second such program: the company previously enabled an employee tender offer at a $6.6 billion valuation in September 2025.
Founded in 2022, ElevenLabs develops technology for highly realistic synthetic voices and sound effects. With teams in New York and London, the company has become one of Europe's most valuable AI startups.
The new valuation highlights how advanced voice technology could play a growing role in creative production, accessibility, education and digital communication in the years ahead.
