Disney+ is deepening its short-form video strategy by teaming up with TikTok to surface fan-made Disney content inside the app. The pilot will begin in the United States in the coming months, with plans to reach more markets later.
Through the partnership, videos inspired by Pixar, Marvel and Star Wars will appear in Disney+'s Verts feed, the platform's vertical video space designed for quick, mobile-first viewing.
The move reflects Disney's broader effort to expand the variety of content available in its feed and to meet audiences where they already spend time. It also follows a wider industry shift, as streaming services increasingly borrow the fast, scroll-friendly format popularized by social platforms.
Disney is also opening new doors for creators through its Disney Creator Ambassador Program. TikTok creators will gain access to Disney's content library, along with opportunities tied to rewards, visibility, exclusive events, and career growth.
The announcement comes alongside Disney's latest quarterly results, which showed stronger performance in its subscription video business. The company also said it is moving its consumer products division from Experiences to Studios as part of an internal restructuring.
By blending creator culture with premium entertainment, Disney+ is shaping a more interactive viewing model that could influence how streaming platforms evolve in the years ahead.
