Daytona Reaches $1 Billion Valuation to Build Cloud Infrastructure for AI Agents

New York-based Daytona Platforms has raised $60 million in a Series B round led by FirstMark Growth, reaching a $1 billion valuation. The company says its total funding now stands at $91 million.

The round also drew support from technology founders and executives, including Stripe's Patrick Collison, Shopify's Tobi Lütke, Perplexity's Aravind Srinivas, Zoom's Eric Yuan, Datadog's Olivier Pomel, Quora's Adam D'Angelo and Mercor's Brendan Foody. Qualcomm Ventures, Samsung Next and Okta Ventures also participated.

Founded three years ago, Daytona is developing cloud infrastructure for long-running software agents. The company says these systems can launch thousands of short-lived, stateful tasks, creating different infrastructure demands from conventional cloud services. Its platform is designed to provide agents with isolated computing environments, including access to Linux, Windows, macOS and GPUs.

As AI agents take on more complex, ongoing tasks, infrastructure built specifically for their needs could become an important part of how future software is developed and deployed.
