Comp AI Raises $34 Million to Advance Continuous AI-Powered Compliance

Cybersecurity and compliance startup Comp AI has secured $34 million in Series A funding to expand its agentic platform for security and compliance operations. The round was led by Roo Capital and Grand Ventures, bringing the company's total funding to $37.5 million.

Founded by Lewis Carhart, Claudio Fuentes and Mariano Fuentes, Comp AI develops AI agents designed to reduce the repetitive workload associated with security programs. Its platform can assist teams in drafting security policies, gathering audit evidence and monitoring compliance controls over time.

Compliance designed for continuous change

For many software businesses, certifications such as SOC 2 play an important role in building customer trust and supporting enterprise growth. Yet traditional compliance workflows can require substantial manual effort and may not reflect changes made after an audit is completed.

Comp AI's approach focuses on continuous visibility. As organizations introduce new AI agents, permissions and software deployments, the platform aims to track what systems access, which actions they attempt and whether they remain within approved boundaries.

The company also offers AI-supported penetration testing to help teams assess codebases and infrastructure for potential vulnerabilities. Human oversight remains central to the workflow: AI agents can prepare materials and automate operational steps, while people review, approve and maintain key controls.

A new operational layer for AI-era security

Comp AI plans to use the new investment to broaden its product capabilities as more organizations integrate AI into daily operations. The company is building toward a security layer that combines automation, accountability and ongoing validation across evolving digital environments.

As AI becomes embedded in more business systems, continuously monitored compliance platforms could help make responsible innovation more scalable, transparent and efficient.
