UK-based manufacturing software company CloudNC has closed a $20 million Series B extension, lifting its total funding to $128 million. Co-founder and CEO Theo Saville said the round comes four years after the company's previous major raise.
Founded in 2015 by Saville and Chris Emery, CloudNC develops CAM Assist, an AI-driven tool that works with established computer-aided manufacturing systems to streamline CNC machining. The software helps determine tooling, approach paths, feeds, speeds, and the code needed to guide machine operations.
Rather than replacing skilled machinists, the platform is designed to support them by automating early-stage planning and repetitive setup work. Users can then review, refine, and approve the final machining strategy, keeping expert judgment at the center of the workflow.
CloudNC says more than 1,000 machine shops around the world already use CAM Assist, with most customers based in the U.S. The company, which employs 80 people, plans to use the new capital to expand adoption, strengthen sales operations, enter new markets, and develop products such as Quote Agent, a tool for estimating project cost and risk faster.
With manufacturing increasingly shaped by automation and software intelligence, CloudNC's next phase could help make precision production faster, smarter, and more scalable in the years ahead.
