OpenAI is introducing Intelligent UI, a new ChatGPT interface designed to make conversations more interactive and task-focused. Launching alongside GPT-6, the update moves beyond text-only replies by presenting tools users can directly explore and adjust.
From answers to interactive workspaces
Depending on the request, ChatGPT can generate tappable controls, task-specific calculators, editable graphs, interactive charts and structured learning aids. The aim is to help people understand complex subjects and complete everyday tasks through clearer, more practical responses.
OpenAI demonstrated how the system can support topics such as the science behind aircraft lift, bicycle mechanics, recipe planning, personal savings and multi-day travel routes. Rather than receiving a static explanation alone, users can work with elements tailored to their question.
The feature is also designed to remain flexible. Users who prefer simpler, text-led responses will be able to reduce the level of interactive content in their chats.
Global availability
Intelligent UI is rolling out globally with GPT-6 for Pro, Plus, Business and Enterprise subscribers. It is expected to reach Free and Go users the following day.
By turning AI conversations into adaptable digital workspaces, this approach could make learning, planning and problem-solving more accessible across daily life and professional settings.
