Art Basel Unveils 290 Galleries from 43 Countries for 2026 Swiss Fair, Welcoming 21 Newcomers

Art Basel has revealed the list of 290 galleries that will showcase their works at the highly anticipated 2026 fair in Basel, scheduled for June 18-21, with VIP preview days on June 16 and 17. This year's exhibitors hail from 43 different countries and territories, featuring 21 galleries participating for the first time.

The primary Galleries sector will feature 232 exhibitors, showcasing a diverse range of art from historical to contemporary pieces. Among these, twelve galleries are entering this sector for the first time, with eight having previously participated in Feature, Statements, or Premiere sections. Notably, four galleries--Berry Campbell (New York), Tim Van Laere Gallery (Antwerp and Rome), Phillida Reid (London), and Ortuzar (New York)--will make their debut directly in the main area.

The Premiere section, dedicated to works created within the last five years, will expand from ten to 17 presentations in its second edition, welcoming three new galleries: Ehrhardt Flórez, Magenta Plains, and Öktem Aykut.

During the fair, two public commissions associated with the inaugural Art Basel Awards will be unveiled. Nairy Baghramian will present a work at Messeplatz, while Ibrahim Mahama will unveil a large-scale project at Münsterplatz.

For the first time, Unlimited will be curated by Ruba Katrib, while Parcours, curated for the third consecutive year by Stefanie Hessler from the Swiss Institute in New York, will focus on the theme of "Conviviality" along Clarastrasse.

The Feature section will present 16 art-historical projects, and the Statements section will include 18 solo exhibitions by emerging artists. The Editions sector will showcase seven galleries specializing in prints and editioned works.

Participating galleries include:
303 Gallery, 47 Canal, A Gentil Carioca, Miguel Abreu Gallery, Acquavella Galleries, Antenna Space, and many others, showcasing a rich variety of artistic expressions.

EDITION:
Cristea Roberts Gallery, Gemini G.E.L., knust kunz gallery, and others will also be featured.

FEATURE:
acb, Château Shatto, Galería Guillermo de Osma, and more will contribute to this dynamic section.

STATEMENTS:
Featuring Galerie Anne-Sarah, Bénichou, and several emerging talents.

PREMIERE:
Includes Athr Gallery, Galería Ehrhardt Flórez, and others, showcasing innovative contemporary art.
