In Onslaught, the new A24 film directed by Adam Wingard, she plays Celeste, a former Marine protecting her home, her daughter, and her community after violent super-soldiers escape a secret lab.
The production leaned into a rugged, practical style, with Arjona filming in a real trailer park and working through demanding physical sequences. She described the set as intensely cold, which created unexpected challenges for the practical effects team and led to adjustments in the fake blood used on camera.
Arjona said the appeal of these roles lies in portraying a powerful version of herself while still finding emotional depth. She pointed to projects like Blink Twice, Hit Man, and Andor as part of a career path that has let her move confidently across high-energy worlds without being boxed into one type of character.
