The 2026 Pure Street Photography Awards highlighted the power of spontaneous storytelling, with winning images drawn from everyday life across cities and communities. The contest is split into black-and-white and open categories, celebrating scenes that feel immediate, human, and unposed.

From nearly 1,600 submissions representing 50 countries, eight winners were chosen for this year's edition. The selected photographs move between quiet observation and lively street energy, capturing reflections, gestures, and fleeting interactions that define contemporary street photography.

Among the top honors, Daniel Kashi received the grand prize in the open category, while Cesare Simioni earned the grand prize in black-and-white. Other recognized photographers include Chris Mozyro, Leone Von Dizic, Taichi Naitou, and Sven Delaye, reflecting the competition's broad visual range and international reach.

An exhibition featuring 158 standout images is scheduled for Jawahar Kala Kendra in Jaipur, India, from November 20 to 22. The 2027 open call is also underway, extending the platform for new voices in street photography. This growing global stage suggests a future where candid visual narratives continue to shape how we see everyday life.
