Xiaomi Unveils the 17 Ultra Smartphone and Innovative Gadgets

Xiaomi has unveiled an exciting lineup of gadgets ahead of the Mobile World Congress (MWC) in Barcelona, featuring the highly anticipated Xiaomi 17 Ultra smartphone, an AirTag-like tracking device, the Xiaomi Watch 5 smartwatch, and a sleek new power bank.

The Xiaomi 17 Ultra, developed in collaboration with renowned camera manufacturer Leica, showcases advanced photography capabilities. It boasts a 50-megapixel primary sensor with an F/1.67 aperture, complemented by a standout 200-megapixel telephoto lens offering a variable focal length of 75mm-100mm. Users can enjoy optical zoom ranging from 3.2x to 4.3x, alongside a 50 MP ultrawide camera with an f/2.2 aperture.

Powering the smartphone is a robust 6,000 mAh battery, with a larger 6,800 mAh option available in the Chinese version. The device supports rapid charging via a 90W USB PD-PPS connection and features Xiaomi's innovative Hypercharge wireless technology at 50W. Its expansive 6.9-inch Xiaomi HyperRGB OLED display is safeguarded by Shield Glass 3.0, while the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor ensures top-tier performance.

In celebration of Leica's centenary, Xiaomi is also releasing a special edition of the phone, featuring a stylish aluminum-alloy body and a unique software theme inspired by Leica's iconic aesthetic. This special edition includes a rotating ring that simulates a physical camera zoom and a "Leica Essential mode" for authentic photography filters.

Additionally, the Xiaomi 17 Ultra Photography Kit enhances the smartphone's capabilities, offering a Bluetooth-connected snap-on attachment with a two-stage shutter button. The Pro version mimics a traditional camera feel with leather finishing and additional controls, including a detachable shutter button and zoom functionality.

Xiaomi is making these innovative devices available across the EU and the UK, with the Xiaomi 17 starting at €999 and the Xiaomi 17 Ultra at €1,499. The Leica edition, featuring 16GB of RAM and 1TB of storage, is priced at €1,999. The photography kits are available for €99.99 and €199.99, respectively.

Beyond smartphones, Xiaomi introduced an array of other products, including the Electric Scooter 6 Ultra, which boasts a peak power of 1200W and a range of 75km. The scooter is equipped with 12-inch all-terrain tires and a TFT display, starting at €329.99.

Moreover, Xiaomi launched a new tracking device similar to Apple's AirTag, compatible with both Apple Find My and Google Android Find Hub. Weighing only 10 grams, it features a battery life of over a year and is priced at €14.9 each or €49.99 for a pack of four.

Lastly, the company revealed a remarkably slim power bank, just 6mm thick, with a 5,000 mAh capacity. It supports both wired and wireless charging, priced at €59.99 for standard colors and €64.99 for an orange variant.
