Wynwood Walls in Miami is giving local residents free admission through 2028 through a new partnership with Rockstar Games. The collaboration also brings 10 new murals inspired by the fictional Vice City setting of Grand Theft Auto VI to the museum and the surrounding Wynwood neighborhood.
The artworks were created by a group of international artists, including ATOMIK, Tatiana Suarez, Askew One, FAILE, Lady AIKO, Ron English and Tristan Eaton. The murals are scheduled to remain on display through January 1.
Wynwood Walls has also introduced "The Art of Vice City," a merchandise collection connected to the game's artwork. The partnership brings the visual language of a fictional game city into a real Miami arts district, while making the mural museum more accessible to local residents.
By connecting public art, gaming and community access, the project points to new ways creative collaborations can bring cultural experiences into everyday city life.
