TP-Link's Roam 6 travel routers have reached new low prices, making portable connectivity more accessible for frequent travelers and remote workers. The AX3000 model is now listed at $79.99, down from $99.99, while the AX1500 has dropped to $49.98 from $59.99.
Both devices are designed to simplify internet access in hotels, Airbnbs, and other shared networks. Instead of logging in on every device separately, users can connect the router once and create a private network for phones, laptops, tablets, and streaming devices. The routers also support OpenVPN and WireGuard, adding flexible privacy options for connected devices.
Two models, two use cases
The AX3000 is the stronger option for users who carry multiple devices or need more bandwidth. It offers speeds of up to 2,402Mbps on 5GHz and 574Mbps on 2.4GHz, supports up to 80 devices, and includes a 2.5Gbps WAN port plus USB 3.0 for tethering, modem use, or file sharing.
The AX1500 keeps the core travel-router experience in a simpler package. It still includes Wi‑Fi 6, Gigabit Ethernet, USB tethering, and the main features needed to build a compact mobile network, making it a practical choice for solo travelers or lighter setups.
