Anime enthusiasts are facing a slight adjustment with their Crunchyroll subscriptions. For the second time within two years, the streaming platform is increasing its prices across all subscription tiers, including the entry-level Fan Tier. This change follows the recent discontinuation of the free, ad-supported option as of December 31.
The updated pricing structure is as follows:
The Fan Tier will rise from $7.99/month to $9.99/month. This package provides basic access to the entire Crunchyroll library, along with the ability to download shows for offline viewing on one device.
The Mega Fan Tier will increase from $11.99/month to $13.99/month. Subscribers can stream on up to four devices simultaneously, download HD content for offline access, and enjoy the Crunchyroll Game Vault.
The Ultimate Fan Tier will go up from $15.99/month to $17.99/month. This tier includes access to Crunchyroll Manga, streaming on six devices at once, and a special swag bag after a year of subscription.
The new pricing will take effect on your first billing cycle following March 4. If you haven't subscribed yet, there's still a chance to sign up and benefit from the (slightly) lower price for your first month. While current subscribers can't lock in the lower rates, Crunchyroll is providing a limited-time offer for an annual plan for the Fan Tier at $66.99/year, which breaks down to $5.58/month. If you're certain about your anime passion lasting a year, this is the most economical route.
