Fashion startup Atoire has secured a $9.5 million seed round from investors including a16z Speedrun, Night Capital, and Jeremy Liew of Lightspeed Ventures. The company is building a new model for premium shopping by connecting consumers directly with luxury-grade manufacturers.
Instead of traditional retail markups, Atoire offers handbags and apparel made with the same materials and craftsmanship used in high-end production. The result is a more accessible price point for products that aim to deliver luxury-level quality without the usual premium.
A new path for premium fashion
Co-founder Redouane Ramdani says the startup is not focused on imitation, but on using the same factories and production standards that serve luxury brands. He describes the model as slow fashion, designed to prioritize quality, smaller batches, and smarter production planning.
The company's approach reflects a broader shift in manufacturing, where leading factories are increasingly developing products themselves and using data to reduce waste. Atoire uses AI to study trends, estimate demand, test color choices, and help factories prepare materials before production scales up.
On the customer side, Atoire's platform includes an AI agent that can suggest outfits based on style inspiration and learn shopping habits over time. The startup says this personalized layer is already helping drive referrals and discovery.
Atoire also reported around $5 million in sales last year and expects to surpass a $55 million annualized run rate this year. With fresh funding, the company plans to expand logistics, deepen its AI tools, and prepare its own in-house line while also helping creators launch clothing collections faster.
As luxury retail evolves, Atoire points to a future where technology, craftsmanship, and accessibility can meet in a more flexible fashion ecosystem.
