The Tapo MagCam 2K+ is currently listed at $59.99, reduced from $89.99. The wireless outdoor camera combines 2K video with a 150-degree field of view, designed to cover areas such as porches, driveways and side yards.
Its 10,000mAh battery is rated to last up to 300 days per charge, depending on recording activity. The camera recharges through micro-USB, with an optional Tapo A200 solar panel available for ongoing solar charging.
For nighttime monitoring, the device offers infrared black-and-white recording or color video using its spotlights and starlight sensor. Footage can be saved to a microSD card of up to 512GB, sold separately, or stored through a paid Tapo Care cloud plan.
Smart alerts can identify people, pets and vehicles. The camera also works with Alexa, Google Assistant and IFTTT, and its companion app includes controls for motion sensitivity, spotlight brightness and the built-in siren. It has a fixed lens, with no mechanical pan-and-tilt function.
