Portable Compression Sleeves Bring Recovery Support to Tired Calves

Hyperice Normatec Go calf sleeves deliver portable, app-controlled air compression with seven intensity settings, offering runners and active users a convenient addition to recovery routines.

Portable Compression Sleeves Bring Recovery Support to Tired Calves

After long runs or extended hours on your feet, tight, heavy calves can make recovery feel like another workout. The Hyperice Normatec Go offers a compact way to add compression to a post-exercise routine, without the setup of a full-leg system.

How it works

The wearable sleeves wrap around the calves and use pulsing air pressure across three overlapping zones. Hyperice says this 360-degree compression is designed to support circulation and ease muscle tension. The pressure comes in a wave rather than as one continuous squeeze.

Designed for everyday use

Users can choose from seven intensity levels, ranging from 40 to 200 mmHg, and control the paired sleeves through the Hyperice app using Bluetooth. The set weighs about 1.2 pounds, making it easier to pack for travel or use at a desk or on the couch.

Hyperice suggests sessions of around 20 to 30 minutes, with shorter sessions also possible before exercise. The sleeves focus on the calves rather than the entire leg, and the company estimates up to three hours of battery life per charge. The listed price is $379.

For runners and people who spend much of the day standing, portable recovery tools like these could make targeted muscle care easier to fit into daily routines.
