British AI infrastructure company Nscale, founded just two years ago, is reportedly preparing a major financing move ahead of a possible public listing as early as this month. The company is said to be in talks to raise $3.5 billion before its IPO.
According to reports, the plan includes selling $1.5 billion in convertible notes to investors, alongside an additional $2 billion in funding tied to Nvidia. Convertible notes can later be exchanged for company shares, making them a flexible tool for growth-stage financing.
Nvidia also took part in Nscale's Series B round in March, when the company raised $1.1 billion in a deal led by Aker. Nscale described that round as the largest Series B in European history. Before that, its Series A in late 2024 brought in $155 million.
The company has gained momentum as AI infrastructure becomes one of the most strategic areas in the tech sector, with computing power now treated as a key competitive asset. Nscale recently announced a major agreement with Anthropic, valued at about $45 billion, highlighting the scale of demand in the AI cloud market.
As capital flows into the infrastructure layer of artificial intelligence, companies like Nscale are helping shape the backbone of future computing. This trend may define how the next generation of AI services is built and scaled worldwide.
