Amazon has reduced the price of the two-unit Netgear Orbi 770 Series mesh system to $449.99, down from $549.99. The package pairs a router with a satellite and is designed to cover up to 5,500 square feet. A smaller configuration with one satellite is also discounted to $239.99, previously $349.99, and covers up to 2,750 square feet.
The system uses tri-band Wi-Fi 7, with advertised combined speeds of up to 11,000 Mbps and support for 320MHz channels. Compatible Wi-Fi 7 devices are needed to use the wider channels. For wired setups, the router includes three 2.5GbE LAN ports and a 2.5GbE WAN port; the satellite has two 2.5GbE LAN ports. Ethernet cabling can also support a wired connection between the router and satellite.
Users can manage the network through the Orbi app or a web interface with settings such as VPN access and port forwarding. Some security and parental-control features require a paid subscription after a 30-day trial. The offer is part of Amazon's early Black Friday sale, and prices may change.
As Wi-Fi 7 devices become more common, mesh systems like this could make faster, more consistent home connectivity accessible across larger spaces.
