Meta has introduced a new smart glasses line called Meta Glasses, starting at $299 and developed with EssilorLuxottica. Unlike the company's earlier models, this version arrives without Ray-Ban or Oakley branding and is now rolling out in multiple countries with different frame and lens options.
The glasses are designed for everyday use and do not include a display. Instead, they combine a camera, built-in speakers, and a customizable button that can activate Meta AI or another chosen function. Meta says the assistant can respond to questions, recognize what the wearer is seeing, and help with daily tasks such as checking sports scores or finding nearby restaurants.
Battery performance is another key point: Meta says the glasses can run for more than 8 hours, while the charging case adds up to 40 additional hours. The first styles in the lineup include the rectangular Meta Adventurer, the boxier Meta Fury, and Meta Glasses by Kylie, a slim oval design created with Kylie Jenner.
Meta also plans to expand the product's features with pedestrian navigation and support for 14 new languages in live translation, including Japanese, Mandarin, Hindi, and Korean. With wearables becoming more central to digital life, this launch signals a future where smart eyewear may blend utility, style, and AI even more seamlessly.
