iOS 27.3 Beta Tests 10 New Features Across Apple Devices

Apple's iOS 27.3 developer beta explores Siri app actions, Health updates, Safari upgrades, new StandBy options and expanded language support across Apple devices.

iOS 27.3 Beta Tests 10 New Features Across Apple Devices

Apple's first developer beta of iOS 27.3 is testing ten features spanning Siri, Health, Fitness+, Safari and the iPhone's StandBy experience. As this is pre-release software, features may change before the update becomes generally available.

Smarter Siri and audio tools

Audio Intelligence is being tested with Live Rewind, which can show a transcript of the previous 15 seconds of conversation, and Siri Recap, which summarizes conversations from the day. Apple says audio is not recorded or stored, and text results are automatically deleted unless saved.

Siri AI is also gaining app actions, letting users make requests such as organizing files, creating calendar events, managing messages and sorting photos. The feature is being tested across Apple apps including Calendar, Files, Maps, Music, Photos and Safari, with developers able to add support to their own apps. Siri AI is expanding to Traditional Chinese, Vietnamese, Turkish and Norwegian.

Health and fitness updates

The redesigned Health app returns with a dashboard, Health Age and movement assessments. Fitness+ is testing Gym Strength, a personalized four-week training plan that adapts to a user's goals, schedule and progress.

Safari and StandBy changes

Safari is testing vertical tabs on iPad and Mac, alongside Adaptive Dark Mode, which can apply a dark appearance to websites without one of their own. StandBy adds customizable analog and digital clocks, plus a Photos display that can use images from Shared Albums.

More ways to use Apple devices

Reachability is being tested for Apple's iPhone Duo, allowing users to shift the screen toward the side they are holding. On compatible iPads, a new Camera app Siri Mode lets users ask the assistant about their surroundings.

Together, the beta's features point toward more integrated assistance and personalization across Apple devices, while their final form will depend on testing and user response.
