The Frick Collection has announced the appointment of Aaron Wile as the new John Updike Curator, effective April 6. Wile, who previously served as a curatorial fellow at the Frick from 2014 to 2016, is known for organizing the acclaimed Jean-Antoine Watteau exhibition during his tenure. He will transition from his role as associate curator of French Paintings at the National Gallery of Art in Washington, D.C., taking over the position left by Aimee Ng, who became the chief curator last fall.

The 61st Venice Biennale, curated by the late Koyo Kuoh and set to open on May 9, has unveiled its full list of participating artists.
