Apple Siri Settlement: Eligible iPhone Users Can Submit Claims

Eligible iPhone 15 and iPhone 16 buyers can submit claims in Apple's $250 million Siri settlement, with estimated payments starting around $25.

Apple Siri Settlement: Eligible iPhone Users Can Submit Claims

Apple customers who purchased select iPhone models during a defined period may now submit claims under a $250 million Siri settlement related to previously announced artificial intelligence features.

Who can apply?

The settlement covers customers who bought an iPhone 15, iPhone 15 Pro Max, or any iPhone 16 model between June 10, 2024, and March 29, 2025. Eligible iPhone 16 devices include the iPhone 16, 16 Plus, 16 Pro, 16 Pro Max and 16e.

The agreement follows concerns about the timing of Apple's enhanced Siri capabilities, which were introduced as part of the company's broader Apple Intelligence strategy. Apple agreed to the settlement without admitting wrongdoing.

How the claim process works

Eligible customers can file a claim through the settlement's official process. Users with a Claim ID and PIN can enter those details directly. Those without this information may be able to verify eligibility using their iPhone serial number or the email address and phone number connected to their Apple Account.

Claims are scheduled to remain open from September 21 through December 21. Applicants should ensure that their purchase and device details match the eligibility requirements before submitting their information.

Estimated payment amount

The estimated payment is around $25 per approved claimant, although the final amount will depend on the total number of valid claims. If fewer people apply than expected, individual payments could reach as much as $95.

A final approval hearing is expected in February. The settlement highlights how product communication and evolving AI features are becoming increasingly important in the next era of consumer technology.
