Defense technology company Anduril is reportedly exploring a new funding round that could lift its valuation to around $100 billion, a sharp jump from its previous mark. The company recently closed a $5 billion raise in May at a $61 billion valuation, reflecting how quickly investor interest has accelerated.
The possible deal may be structured in two stages, with a second tranche priced higher later in the year. If completed, it would place Anduril among the most highly valued private companies in the sector.
Defense tech sees rapid momentum
Anduril's growth comes amid a broader surge in defense-focused innovation. Venture funding in the sector has climbed strongly this year, driven by demand for drones, autonomous systems, and AI-enabled platforms. The shift is also reshaping how investors view modern security technologies, with greater attention on scalable and lower-cost hardware.
The company has already secured contracts with major defense organizations, including the U.S. Department of Defense, the U.S. Air Force, and the U.S. Army, alongside several international partners. Anduril also said in May that its revenue more than doubled to $2.2 billion in 2025.
Other startups are following a similar trajectory. Companies such as Shield AI, Mach Industries, and Helsing have all attracted major capital as the market rewards autonomous systems, mission software, and compact production models.
Another key theme is supply-chain resilience. Anduril and peers have been investing in propulsion and manufacturing capacity to support next-generation systems built for speed, flexibility, and lower replacement costs.
If the funding round closes at the expected scale, it could signal a new phase for defense innovation, where advanced autonomy and industrial capacity become central to the sector's future.
