Amazon brings shoppable scenes to Prime Video

Amazon expands Prime Video shopping with X-Ray, Shop the Scene, and Amazon Lens, making it easier to discover products inspired by what viewers watch.

Amazon brings shoppable scenes to Prime Video

Amazon is expanding the way viewers can interact with Prime Video by turning on-screen moments into a more seamless shopping experience. The company has introduced new features that connect thousands of titles with its existing X-Ray tool, making it easier to discover products related to what appears in a scene.

With the update, users can open X-Ray while watching, move to a new Shop tab, and browse items linked to the content on screen. Amazon is also adding "Shop the Scene," which uses Amazon Lens to identify products inspired by outfits, decor, and other visible details.

The system does not always point to an exact match, especially when a character wears a custom or premium item. Even so, it offers a practical starting point for viewers who want a similar style or product idea.

The experience is designed to work across the Amazon Shopping app and Fire TV, reducing the steps needed to move from viewing to browsing. Amazon says "Shop the Scene" is now available in the U.S. on iOS and Android for more than 600 titles, while "Shop the Show" is expanding from 1,300 to over 8,000 titles, including Prime Originals, licensed content, and live sports.

This move reflects how streaming platforms are evolving toward more interactive commerce, and it may shape a more connected future for entertainment and digital shopping.
