Webflow Acquires AI Content Platform Vidoso to Enhance Marketing Solutions

Webflow has acquired Vidoso, an AI content generation platform, to enhance its marketing suite, aiming to streamline content creation and drive brand consistency for users.

Webflow, a leading platform for website creation and hosting, has announced its acquisition of the AI-driven content generation platform Vidoso. This strategic move aims to expand Webflow's marketing capabilities, offering users innovative tools for content creation.

Founded in 2024, Vidoso harnesses the power of large language models to assist organizations in generating diverse marketing materials, including images, presentations, video snippets, blog entries, and social media posts. The platform excels in transforming keynote speeches and panel discussions into engaging content formats.

The small yet talented team of four from Vidoso will become part of Webflow, although the financial details of the acquisition remain undisclosed. Vidoso has successfully raised $3.7 million from notable investors such as Aspenwood Ventures, Emergent Ventures, and Tau Ventures, according to PitchBook.

Webflow's CEO, Linda Tong, emphasized the significance of this acquisition, stating that it marks a pivotal shift in how the company is perceived. Historically seen merely as a website builder or CMS, Webflow is evolving into a comprehensive marketing platform. "This acquisition is a major step in that direction," she remarked.

Tong noted that AI technologies are enabling companies to produce marketing assets and advertisements at unprecedented speeds. However, she pointed out that siloed operations among different departments can hinder overall effectiveness. With Vidoso's integration, Webflow aims to streamline functions such as branding, demand generation, product marketing, and content creation.

According to Sharad Verma, CEO of Vidoso, traditional AI models often lack the specificity needed for brand consistency. He explained that while early AI tools provided powerful capabilities for generating generic content, they often overlooked the structured workflows that ensure coherence in enterprise marketing. Vidoso was designed to bridge this gap, ensuring that AI-generated content is consistent and production-ready within existing marketing frameworks.

With over $330 million raised in funding, Webflow has been actively enhancing its marketing suite over recent years. Previous acquisitions include the website personalization startup Intellimize in 2024, and earlier this year, it launched a Google Ads integration for improved performance tracking.

Despite facing competition from a surge of startups leveraging AI for marketing automation, Webflow remains optimistic. Tong believes that the comprehensive nature of Webflow's content creation, campaign management, and performance tracking tools will attract a growing customer base.

"In a landscape where asset creation often lacks insights and self-learning mechanisms, Webflow offers a complete cycle for content success," she concluded.
