A new social platform named Twitter.now is entering the market through startup Operation Bluebird, a company co-founded by former Twitter trademark counsel Stephen Coates. The project is positioning itself as a fresh digital space rather than a direct revival of the old Twitter experience.
According to the company, the service is built around trust, transparency, and user control. Coates says the goal is to create a public square where people can better understand what they see and decide how much credibility should shape their feed.
AI-powered verification
At the center of the platform is an AI system called VERA. It evaluates posts, checks claims, adds context, and assigns a trust score. Users can then adjust their preferences to filter content based on the level of trust they want to see.
The site is currently in testing, and early access is priced at $20. Operation Bluebird says VERA is still in its first version, while a more advanced VERA 2.0 is planned for the near future with expanded filtering tools.
The launch reflects a broader shift in social media toward more personalized, transparent, and user-led experiences. If the model gains traction, it could help shape the next generation of online communities.
