Exciting news for attendees of Art Basel: Thomas Bangalter, known for his role in the iconic French electronic duo Daft Punk, will be featured at Hall 1.1 South in Messe Basel on Saturday, June 20.

The event, titled "WAREHOUSE ARTEFACTS," is promoted by art.klub and promises an immersive experience. Alongside Bangalter, house music producer Rampa and conceptual artist Julian Charrière will also participate. While details remain limited, an announcement on Instagram hinted at a DJ set by Rampa, with Bangalter possibly making a special appearance from 6 p.m. to 11 p.m.

This event is produced in collaboration with Nordstern Basel, a well-known nightclub in Switzerland, along with the support of Art Basel and Fondation Beyeler.

If Bangalter takes the stage, it will be a remarkable moment, considering he just returned to live performances. Last October marked his first DJ set since 2009, followed by another show in London in February, where he shared the spotlight with rising electronic music star Fred Again. Daft Punk last performed together at the Grammy Awards in 2017, with their final tour concluding in 2007.
